Mi 11 series

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 series is set to launch later this evening. Here are the expected specifications and features of the new phones.

Xiaomi is set to reveal the series of the Mi 11 smartphone series today. One of the largest selling points of the new mainstay phone is Snapdragon 888, the latest top-grade chip Qualcomm. Apart from the latest chip, the MI 11 series is expected to provide improved specifications, especially in the camera department. The following is a brief enlargement of everything we know about the MI 11 series.

As previously said, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SOC will be a USP of a new smartphone series. The Qualcomm processor presents an upgrade in terms of CPU and AI performance. This chipset has a Qualcomm Artificial Gen Machine (AI) Gen-6, 3rd Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 5G modem-RF system, and Triple ISP.

According to reports, MI 11 will come up with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of default storage. The basic model can offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery of 4.780mah is likely to power the new mainstay series.

No charger in the box

Xiaomi has confirmed MI 11 will not come with a power adapter in the box. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in a post on Weibo said the move would help the company achieve its environmental goals. He further said the thickness of the box will drastically be reduced, which in turn would not only reduce the overall cost but also the material used.

Interestingly, Xiaomi was among the top smartphone brands, which mocked Apple for doing the same with the iPhone 12 series. Reports suggest Samsung will also skip the charger in the retail box of its upcoming Galaxy S21 series.

Xiaomi recently teased a special night Video Mode that allows the handset to shoot better quality videos in low light. Reports suggest Mi 11 will offer an improved 108-megapixel camera on the back. The Pro model could come with much superior camera specifications.

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and up to 120GHz refresh rate. The phone will have Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box. Other expected features include Wi-Fi 6 and LPDDR5 RAM support.
